Svetlin Rachev, Safety and Environment Manager: “Safety Day was a new event for Technophos, and everything kicked off with a bang.”. To mark the launch of the day, Svetlin had a little surprise in store for his colleagues: “The fire alarm was set off. No need to worry though, this was just a drill!”

After a shared lunch, staff watched a presentation on potential emergency scenarios. A staff member also shared their story about an accident they suffered a few years ago. This was an enriching and interactive afternoon that reminded all staff of the safety rules and introduced them to new employees. To round off the day, staff had a chance to put that they had learned into practice in real-life scenarios in the form of games/competitions between teams.

“I have received nothing but positive feedback about the event. Everyone is already looking forward to the next Safety Day. Thinking up new workshops for my colleagues will be a bit of a new challenge for me; I think I’ll take inspiration from activities at other sites.
